WOW! Are the Repugnants ever P.O.'d at women. Here they have a situation involving a woman and a man and sex. In their mind, that's what the woman's movement is all about.
For the last couple of years they have created various "women's groups" with names they thought would attract us (such as the Independent Women's Forum) -- they didn't.
But
by labeling these Conservative groups, women's, they get
a free pass by the media to "represent" women's groups. They
hope, in these encounters with those representing our movement-to-parity,
to effectively cancel out woman-power -- the GenderGap's vote.
Their goal is to trick us into staying home on election day, November 3, 1998. This will assure a Republican, veto-proof Congress.
Self-appointed leaders of these groups, such as Bay Buchanan, have been all over the network and cable programs claiming to represent OUTRAGED WOMANHOOD.
Representing instead a veritable manifestation of the Biblical, "rush of the gathering swine."
All to no avail because we are done with having our chains jerked. We are disgusted by their assumption that we are stupid, dumb cows.
At first, Republican strategists could not believe it. How could we not be appalled, disgusted and resort to girlish tears at an adulterer.
How could we not curse the President, and praise the Lord, Newt, Falwell, Robertson, Reed and all the rest of the ry-chus right?
How could we not stay away from the polls. Or, if we did go, how could we not vote a straight Republican ticket to vent our ry-chus anger?
Stymied, they changed the focus of their spin from adultery to include harassment, child molesting and assorted mayhem, all the while lobbing shame and invective on leaders such as Ellie Smeal and Pat Ireland.
The leaders of the real Women's Movement stood firm. Self-defined women are now waiting for the next piglet parade which is sure to come when Congress dumps the next batch of porno onto us.
Then there are the daily arguments concerning what the Constitution says about what are impeachable offenses.
HIGH CRIMES AND MISDEMEANORS: How many ways can you spin this? There is no comma after crimes, therefore, it means high crimes and HIGH misdemeanors.
No. A misdemeanor is a small (low) crime -- adultery, for example.
Well, you get the idea. The Conservatives already know that scholars and experts in interpretation of the Constitution are pretty well agreed that the charges against the President are NOT sufficient to impeach.
Still they continue to spend money and time on what they know is unconstitutional. It is a great way to further their political races.
As long as they can keep this in the forefront of political rhetoric, it drowns out the facts that we as voters must and should have access to.
This
is their prime campaign issue and the American taxpayer is paying for it.
They have made the November elections a referendum on impeachment.
A national super litmus test.
No wonder they want NO limits on campaign financing! Limits would surely prevent them from using the Congress and it's resources to finance this election. As if all this wasn't enough, Ross Perot has surfaced and is preparing a "March On Washington" to depose the President. If you thought he was "a wild and crazy guy" before, you should hear him now.
And running counterpoint to this jazzed up version of mid-term political chicanery are the merry monsters of a cabal called, Judicial Watch, suing everything in sight, except Kennie.
And just in time for Halloween, too. No costumes or masks needed to make them scary. Whoo-whoo!!!!
