WE'LL NEVER FORGET YOU, KENNIE

It just doesn't seem fair.  For weeks, all of the world's attention has been focused on President Clinton, or on the Judicial Committee, or on Congress, or on the budget, or on the coming elections.

But what about Kennie Starr?  Doesn't he deserve some attention?  Kennie, once the fair haired boy of the media, whizzing a constant stream of leaks to them, seems to have been forgotten.

Morning after morning, reporters were waiting at his gate and now, nothing.  He goes to his waiting car alone.  The media has deserted him.

We know this makes him unhappy.  He has tried to get public attention back by promising that there "may" be more impeachable offenses coming from his office.  But to no avail.

Well, it's sad.  After all, Kennie really started the whole thing.  He and Linda Tripp?

'Gappers is not fickle.  We remember Kennie and we will try to make up for the media spotlight blackout.  Attorney General Reno and Judge Susan Webber Wright still find him interesting, and we do too.

You remember that Judge Wright was upset awhile back when Kennie admitted that he gave Grand Jury information to reporters?

Well, Kennie explained that the reporters were really his secret sources and Judge Wright said (the legal equivalent of) "BULLCRAP!  You'll have to come up with a better excuse than that!"

Now it seems that General Reno wants to pick on his bones a bit and therein lies a tale of possible treachery, deceit and lies not to mention intrigue and conspiracy.

It all comes down to when did Kennie get Tripped, or has he always been?

We'd been assured that Linda, all broken up because Monica told her to lie, went to Kennie to give him the tapes and spill her pure, unsullied guts.

We'd been told that Kennie used these tapes to convince Janet Reno that this affair was connected to his investigations -- all four years and $40 million of them.

He made the connection by claiming that presidential friend, Vernon Jorden, was involved in obstruction of justice.

But now it appears that Linda may have actually contacted the lawyers for Paula Corbin Jones FIRST, and they got together with an attorney from Kennie's firm (thus keeping Kennie pure and immaculate, 'er the "deniability factor".)

With Linda's tapes of le affair grande, the P.C.J. attorneys set the stage to entrap Monica and the President at his deposition.

And the conductor of this grand orchestration?  Unusually reliably sources say, "Kennie."

It seems that Kennie has had more than a casual acquaintance with the P.C.J. case.  As early as 1994, as a private attorney, he discussed the issue of presidential immunity with her original lawyers -- on several occasions.

Now, the question is, could Kennie be involved in such shady actions?  Is Kennie tainted?  Is there anything in his record that might support such covert shenanigans?

IS HE ALL THAT HE SEEMS OR MORE THAN HE IS ??  

We know that his report to Congress left out evidence exculpatory to Clinton.

But, don't worry, Kennie.  The media may shun you but we won't.  The world may neglect you but we won't.  We won't ever forget you, especially at election time next month and all the ones to come.

Because, Kennie, you embody everything that women fear and loath.  Everything we have had in our past and the specter of what is rampant in fundamentalists countries:  the relentless pursuit of the religious zealot.
