SUCKERED MOMS?

We had the Soccer Moms and now it's the Security Moms according to the media prophecy pretenders; the ones who feel the pulse of a poll and set a mindset in motion with a name. http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/

The premise here is that the gendergap favorable to Democrats is gone. It vanished at the midterm elections because women were scared, looked to government for protection and voted for Republicans.

As you know, the media has been telling us how the Dems are the "mommie party" and the Repugs are the "daddy party." So, they say, women NATURALLY will turn to the "big strong mans" to protect them.

And who can doubt that Bush and company have "created" the impression of being "the big strong mans"? And how they continue to "create" it with the movie being made in Canada equating Bush to superman on 9/11. http://www.thestar.com/

They are working hard to erase the "actual" wimp image of Bush we saw on 9/11 for the same purpose -- to attract the woman's vote. They've already got the majority of male votes with their wars, Dubya Dubya I and II.

Well they are bloody damn wrong to consider all women are pushovers for an overstuffed crotch and the promise of protection from the evil doers of evil. Most women are too smart to fall for that crap.

Because women intuitively know that Republicans are the party of war, hate and irresponsibility, they know that they cannot insure their security at home or abroad. They know that Bush is pretending to embrace a social agenda. He wants to avoid the blinding light of truth and sucker voters into trusting him.

But here too, the past is prolog. The Repugs promise a social program and may even pass the bills, but if they fund them, many of the most needy are left out.

Democrats are the party of peace, prosperity and protection. That is why they must not bury their past but bring it forth proudly and loudly, just as Janet Reno advises. Women win when they take their security into their own hands and become warriors with the strength and stamina of Xena.

Most women have confidence in their own strength and abilities and don't require a man or anyone else to lean on. There is a need to get the message out despite the captured media blitz. Many men are still dazed by the fog of war, so women must escape the fog of media-induced testosterone.

Every person can help in this with a blitz of her own talking points. The Bush backed neo-conservatives must not be allowed to destroy the world. Remember the phrase, "war is not healthy for children and other living things"?

So print up some cards and spread them around with positive "talking points." Why? Because as Joan Chittister, OSB, observed, it matters:

And it should matter whether or not our government is either incompetent and didn't know what they were doing or were dishonest and refused to say. The unspoken truth is that either as a people we were misled, or we were lied to, about the real reason for this war. Bush must be held responsible for 9/11. Don't let him use it as an excuse for everything wrong with his foreign and domestic policies. The debacle of 9/11 lies directly at his door. His administration failed on many fronts. Initially, it ignored President Clinton's explicit information and plans to thwart terrorism.

It ignored the similar terrorist warnings from other countries. Its defense facilities failed dismally beyond all coincidence. gendergappers.org/2003-021.htm

His actions following the plane crashes was so abysmal that his handlers are cobbling up a tissue-of- lies movie.

War after war does NOT promote security. The Bush plan forces this country into preemptive strikes against sovereign nations on trumped-up charges and has made us the most hated nation on Earth.
