IT'S THE GOD THING, STUPID!

There are those Americans who are feeling depressed and hopeless. They listen to the news which characterizes all the Democratic candidates as laughable oafs, none of which would be able to beat Bush.

Just when it seems as if they have a strong economy issue to use against Bush, it starts to evaporate.

They aren't unhappy that things are looking better because it helps the country and especially the people in the bottom rungs.

What really sucks is that the talking-head Cons come on TV and accuse them of wanting the economy to tank. Then they add that if things get settled in Iraq and the killing stops, Libs will be desolate.

This is so unfair of them but when did they ever play fair? The thing is, we must get to the meat of our differences with the Bush administration; hammer on them and stop playing their economy, war and head games.

Bush's acts and policies, his arrogance, his belligerence, his attitude of being "god-elected" should be the constant target and never mind that the Cons yell, "Bush bashing!"

When did they NOT bash Clinton? There are those who say this is risky because Bush is held in such high esteem and is such a nice guy. That is poppycock. Risky is letting Bush be reelected.

Besides "being a nice guy," he presents himself to appeal strongly to the evangelical voter; introducing and supporting initiatives that are dear to the heart of the conservative religious Rychus right wing. Add to this the "packaging" of Bush by Karl Rove to present him as sent by God to save America after 9/11.

Pictures of Bush that circulate all over the Web are contrived to reinforce the notion that Bush and God are buddies. The faithful are convinced that he is another Saint George; many pray to him as they would to the traditional saints. http://209.157.64.200/focus/f-news/1001869/posts

We would love to see the supporters of the Democratic candidates take pictures with their heads "haloed" by one of the many "saintly" seals that abound in DC. Let's see tons of Saint Clark or Saint Dean or Saint Kerry and Saint all the rest. Haloed pictures of all the Lib candidates should go into newspapers and magazines. The Internet should be saturated with them so the idiocy of the Bush with halo pictures are laughed out of existence.

Keep pounding on the facts! His administration did pursue policies of preemptive war, did bomb innocent people of Iraq when the UN was getting the job done by their weapon inspectors. He still brags about forcing all countries into Democracy with or without their consent.

There is no lack of issues besides the economy [which even if improving has still taken a terrible toll on those in poverty] or the Iraq war which is going so badly that anything is an improvement. Just to list a few:

          * Bush made the war against terrorism a Holy war by intentionally using the word "CRUSADE" (as part of his God-appointed facade) which inflamed Islam.

          * Bush is giving only "limited access" of his complicity in 9/11 to the investigation. This screams, "COVER UP!" but no one seems to be screaming.

          * The constant use of the fear card. Bush polls go down and there is another terrorist warning.

          * All the many, many lies of Bush and his administration.

          * He is complicit in the "outing" or exposure of a CIA agent just to get back at and punish a man who uncovered one of his many lies.

          * The fraud his military people perpetrated concerning Jessica Lynch which she has revealed and denounced.

          * The actual and potential voting fraud from the Diebold voting machines owned and controlled by a strong supporter and contributor to Bush. http://www.salon.com/tech/feature/2003/09/23/bev_harris/index_np.htm

The important thing here is to concentrate on Bush. Already the talking heads are trying to get voters to think that "he has been ill-advised" -- that the problem lies with the DOD or State or the CIA. That way he can fire someone and come out smelling like a rose.

We must not be fooled by this as it would mean another four years with replacement advisors HE CHOSES, which from his track record would be as bad or worse than the ones he has now. He must be accountable for all the actions of his administration - even those of Vice President Cheney.

Everyone who is concerned, and determined to keep this man from completely destroying our country, to say nothing about the rest of the world, must push away their depression and take the advice of Sir Winston Churchill: NEVER FLINCH, NEVER WORRY, NEVER DESPAIR.
