BADDA BUSH BADDA BOOM

Old retainers never die they just fade away quietly on their pensions, dreaming of the days when they lived in the real world. They fade away without complaint, without a murmur.

Well, that is until recently things got so bad that they could not stomach it any longer so they broke from tradition and came forward en masse to unburden to their fellow Americans.

Twenty six distinguished former Conservative, Liberal and Independent Foreign Service and military officers have called on Americans to kick Bush out in November.

"Diplomats rarely act like dissidents. They believe that the Bush administration's aggressive bungling has endangered America's reputation, credibility and security."
-- Joe Conason. The New York Observer, 06-16-04

This story received only slight attention by the media. Democrats were silent as the lambs when they should have been braying like donkeys.

Democrats and Independents have much to learn from Republicans. Right now they are going ape-shit over President Clinton's book, dredging up every bit of scum TV footage they hurled ad nauseum during his administration.

But take a look back to the end of President Clinton's term in office. How did Democrats treat him then? Except for a few with guts, the majority dropped him like a millstone and scurried away like rats.

They sided with the Republicans to vilify him, too frigging scared for their reelection to stand up to the unwarranted and constant condemnation Republicans heaped upon both President Clinton and Senator Hillary Clinton.

When it all filtered out, all he did was have an affair and lie about it. He didn't tell lie after lie to justify invading Iraq. He didn't kill hundreds of Americans and thousands of Iraqi and bankrupt our country. He didn't pardon anyone worse then other presidents had. He didn't try to destroy the Constitution.

Did the majority of Democrats react with envy toward a popular person that still has a huge number of admirers or were they just stupid? Whatever it was it has seriously impacted on Democrat's ability to win elections.

Contrast this with the adulation heaped upon Arnold SSchwarzenegger, Governor of California. Despite his despicable conduct in molestation of many women who came forward to publicly state on the record what he had done, the Republicans just shoved it all under the rug.

Can Democrats ever understand that Republican morality is only applied to Democrats? Can Democrats ever learn how the Republicans hold their winners harmless while vociferously defending them by accusing Democrats?

Profanity is prohibited on the Senate floor, yet VP Cheney told Senator Leahy to go fu*k himself, then Cheney's aide denied it until it became apparent that many others had heard him.

Finally Cheney admitted to it saying he was glad he said it. Such hubris. Does anyone doubt that if a Democrat had cursed like that, Republicans would be invoking the heavens to open and smite him/her?

What is this guilt Democrats exhibit every time one of their politicians errs that compels them to let Republicans get away with such continual and disgusting nastiness?

Is it just political stupidity or refusal to learn? Can they not see how President Clinton held the White House for eight years against the kind of administrations they have found so dangerous and give him some credit and support?

To a great extent his treatment by the media is because most Democrats in Congress do not come forward to the media to support him and excoriate the media for being Karl Rove's Gobbles.

Suppose, sad as it would be, that Clinton died. As a former president he would be given a state funeral. It's a lead pipe cinch that every other graphic on TV would show Clinton and Monica on the rope line instead of portrayals of his efforts to achieve peace all around the world.

Now think back to a couple of weeks ago when every picture was positive and all of Reagan's warts were made into roses covering his multitude of sins against human rights.

Blame Bush for Iraq but remember it was Democrats voting with Republicans that gave him a blank check. Worse still these same Democrats are still slavishly supporting him by joining with Republicans to drive us deeper into a police state.

Four more years -- four more wars. Badda Bush, Badda Boom!
