| Pollsters are
telling us that the Bush post-convention gain came mostly from married
women. The fear and threats raised by the Repugs diligence made a silk
purse-hero out of a sow's ear Bush.
They have bought into all his lies and think he really can protect them even though he failed to act in time to stop the murderers on 9/11. He had the information of an attack and ignored it. Some married women fell for his claim of leadership and heroism. SHAME ON THEM. Heroes were and still are the rescue workers; the police and fire personnel and our military all over the world and here at home. Certainly not heroic is GW Bush who avoided the draft by going into the National Guard and then never fulfilled his obligations; certainly not a person who uses fear to keep him in the White House. Franklin Roosevelt said, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." These words should inspire and resonate with us today as they are optimistic, powerful and positive. The use of positive thought has been around a long time. Our opposition uses religion to unite their base and they have applied positive thought from great numbers of people with prayer, but positive thoughts can also be expressed without a religious basis. That is because it?s not God that is involved here - She isn?t taking sides in our presidential election. It is we the voters, our minds collectively fueling the outcome in November. That is, if OUR collective thoughts are positive. So far, we are even with the neo-cons who frankly use the positive thought engendered by religion to control people. Leo Strauss, founder of this very destructive con, claims that people should be lied to as they mostly are too stupid to understand things their leaders do. http://www.apomie.com/leostrauss.htm We are less effective because some of our mind power is used to project negativity. Most of us have thus far projected Bush returning to Texas. This doesn't work for us for two reasons. Bush spends much of his time in Texas anyway so imagining him there is wasted effort. A positive projection on our part would be to visualize Kerry as president in the White House. The neo-cons are keeping up with us because collectively they have visualized a positive outcome for them, that is four more years for Bush.
Another positive action, we all must do something to get out the vote among young, unmarried women, many of whom do not vote. If they were mobilized they would add to the Democratic vote. All of us can help by contacting the young unmarried women that we know. One woman in Florida goes into stores with registration forms when she goes shopping. She talks to her fellow shoppers and offers them the cards for themselves and others in their family. Think about those wonderful Jersey Girls. They kept after Bush to form the 9/11 commission to find the causes for that terrible attack. He fought them all the way but they never gave up. http://www.gendergappers.org/2004-015.htm Don't be confused by others who lost friends or relatives on 9/11 who were featured at the Republican Convention and support Bush. They are not the Jersey Girls. The Jersey Girls are now going on the campaign trail for Kerry. They were instrumental in ferreting out many of the causes of 9/11; they pushed to have the Presidential Daily Briefing made public. They know that the Bush administration was responsible for the terrorist attack on the twin towers. That is why they do not trust him to defend this country. They bring a positive message, a Franklin message. These women are also true heroes and leaders that we all can proudly follow to bring about a Kerry presidency. 2004-038 Copyright 2004 Renee T.
