IT'S TIME FOR HIM TO GO!

The lies of Bush have grown to such an immense height and stench that even the idiot-media-talking-rectums have noticed. But they are still reluctant to say very much so they concentrated by faulting everything Kerry does.

They spent quite a lot of time wondering why Iraq had not been in the news lately and they had to giggle and wonder what had happened to John Edwards who hadn't been heard from.

It seemed never to occur to them to admit that they had been too engaged in carrying water for Bush to cover John Edwards, and Bush had ordered them to stop reporting bad news about Iraq.

Along with all this was a sense of deja vous. In the 2000 campaign, the media took its news from the Bush press releases spending much of its time laughing together by characterizing Al Gore as "reinventing himself."

This year only the phrase has changed. Now the media gets all giggly following the Bush spin by characterizing Kerry as a flip-flopper. Without even checking what Kerry actually said, they just parroted mindlessly.

On the one hand the media denigrates the Kerry campaign by regurgitating the Repug talking points, yet it piously excoriates Dan Rather for digging up stuff on Bush that it has ignored for years.

        http://michaelmoore.com/words/message/

This sustained nastiness had finally gotten under Kerry's skin and now the media finds itself in deep excrement as even some Republican lawmakers are saying that Bush is inept and has screwed things up catastrophically.

And finally, finally more Democratic Senators and Representatives are taking off the velvet gloves of political expediency and joining our chorus. Bush is a misleader, he has failed in Iraq, he has lied to get us into Iraq and is still lying about the conditions in Iraq.

Iraq isn't like Viet Nam, it is Viet Nam, a sewer pit directly designed by Bush. It didn't happen in seconds, it has been happening while the media played its little games of kiss-ass with the commander-in-chief.

In fairness to the mainstream media, it does have an excuse for their dereliction of duty. Vengeance by the Bush regime is harsh, instantaneous and lasting for any reporter or station that steps out of the party line.

It has let itself be bullied by fear and that in turn has enslaved the American voter. Freedom depends on information, accurate information. This is what the American voter has lost. The media needs to apologize and do their job.

So now the media, faced with a situation in Iraq that can no longer be glossed over or ignored, is doing its best to walk a tightrope between angering the administration and getting scooped by the blogs.

Blogs and the many other internet web sites have become the conscience of informational media. So far Ashcroft and his DOJ agents have left them mostly free from reprisals because their capital outlay is so small they cannot be economically threatened.

The media still gives more weight to the Bush campaign by faithfully disseminating items important to Bush and the Republicans and by showing the Bush audiences to be larger and more loudly cheering than Kerry's.

Predictably, as more and more Bush catastrophic errors are being exposed, we continue to get warnings of imminent terrorist attack. It is supposed to divert the voter's attention and increase the fear level.

In addition, while every Kerry misspeak is repeated endlessly with laughter and derision by most of the talking heads, the many flip flops, misspeaks and absolute boners pulled by Bush, if reported at all, are limited to one reading and seldom if ever actually discussed or commented on.

We're Not in Lake Wobegon Anymore
by Garrison Keillor / In These Times

How did the Party of Lincoln and Liberty transmogrify into the party of Newt Gingrich's evil spawn and their Etch-A-Sketch president, a dull and rigid man, whose philosophy is a jumble of badly sutured body parts trying to walk? http://www.inthesetimes.com/site/main/article/979/

Wake up women! Under the Bush administration, the gap in wages between women and men is WIDENING. Overtime for most jobs women hold has been abolished.

Bush, "an Etch-A-Sketch president," represents our country to the world. It's time for him to go! Register and vote him off the island [White House].
