DID THE FAT LADY SING?

GenderGappers plans to keep on fighting this blight on our Democracy. Although we cannot understand why our leader capitulated so easily, it appears to fit a pattern that we cannot accept.

Following the appointment by the Supremes in 2000, our Democratic Senators and Representatives "took the high road" to "heal the deeply divided country". That is, they went all kissy-face and helped Bush with his agenda. Sound familiar?

Bush repaid them by kicking them in the nads. He drew them in with smiles and then got them to support his use of military force by promising that it would be used only with international support.

Then he invaded Iraq and with more lies he justified it so that the Congress followed right along with hardly a murmur.

Have our Congressional Reps and Senators gotten tired of having their faces pressed into the excreta of Bush's lies?

The word cooperation for Bush has only one meaning. "Ya'all do what I say." Any opposition is

Any opposition is called obstructionism, unpatriotic and harmful to the troops. If we are to believe Barak Obama, a recently elected Senator, his inclination is to go in to the Senate on his knees, all in the name of "One America". A lovely sentiment, "turning the other cheek", but why does he think Bush would even reciprocate except with empty promises and more lies? The only "other cheek" we should turn are the kind we sit on. Let us not leave the Bushies in any doubt that we do not trust them.

And let us always remember that Bush lies - it's his nature and we would be foolish to trust him again. Send this on to your Senators and Reps:

One day a scorpion was walking along the riverbank trying to find a way to get across the river that separated him from his desired location when he came across a frog sitting alongside the riverbank.

The scorpion walked up to the frog and asked the frog if he would take him across the river by giving him a ride on his back. The frog quickly replied, "no he would not give the scorpion a ride."

The scorpion then asked him why he would not give the ride. The frog replied, "because Mr. Scorpion if I were to give you a ride on my back we would only get half the way across and you would sting me and then I would drown."

Quickly the scorpion replied, "but Mr. Frog, if I stung you then you would drown and if you drown then I would drown also.

The frog thought for a minute and then said, "I guess you're right, then I will give you a ride."

The scorpion jumps on the frogs back and they start crossing the river. Half way across the river the scorpion just drills the frog with his stinger. The frog immediately starts to panic as he feels the venom race through his veins and he quickly begins to become paralyzed. Just as he is taking his last breath and about to go down, the frog looks at the scorpion and asks "but why?"

The scorpion replies, "because that is my nature".

David Corn of The Nation wrote: "half of the electorate rejected Bush's leadership, his agenda, his priorities, his falsehoods... half concluded that Bush had caused the deaths of over 1100 American GIs and literally countless Iraqis (maybe 100,000) for no compelling reason. Nearly half saw the emperor buck naked and butt ugly. Nearly half said no to his rash actions and dishonest justifications. Nearly half realized that Bush had misrepresented the war in Iraq as a crucial part of the effort against al Qaeda and Islamic jihadism. Nearly half desired better and more honest leadership. Nearly half knew that Bush has led the country astray."

"How can 59,054,087 people [votes for Bush] be so dumb!" -- Headline in The [London] Daily Mirror

No way the fat lady has sung.WE ARE GOING TO GET OUR COUNTRY BACK AND DON'T YOU FORGET IT!
