We all heard it. We heard the media repeat the outrage of the Repugnics
because some Congressional Dems booed/hissed the obvious Bush lies during
the State of Union. Notice this -- they booed what he said, not him.
Then when it was pointed out that Repugnics booed President Clinton during his SOU addresses, they angrily and emphatically denied this even though there is taped proof of this. Another thing that has recently horrified the Repugnics is the negative remarks made about Condi Rice. They are calling them sexist and racist, claiming that the Dems are demeaning the office. Has the memory of their treatment of Hillary Clinton, Janet Reno and Madelyn Allbright, as well as Clinton’s Black and Latino Cabinet appointments just dissolved into thin air? Of course not. Who can forget the nasty comments directed toward Liberals in Hollywood who joined in to elect “anyone but Bush”? They are dissed constantly as is their industry. Yet R’s, without turning a hair, embrace Arnold S. as if he were Christ incarnate. They love to use his movies and words to illustrate their party and their wars. The fact that he is a known molester of women is completely ignored. Adding insult to injury, the R’s now are working actively to change the Constitution so foreign-born Arnold can be president. This, in spite of the fact, that his native country, Austria, has recently disowned him. Of course there is a pattern in all this. Repugnics keep telling colossal lies. Dems keep calling them liars and the ’s JUST IGNORE THE DEMs AND WHAT THEY SAY. Here lies the Repugnic’s greatest strength and the Dem’s greatest weakness. To the vast uniformed and unconcerned voters out there, Bush and company sound positive and strong. Dems come off sounding mean, whiney and ineffective. And if anyone missed thinking this, the media always provides reinforcement. Except for some who, like Michael Moore, earned the eternal hatred and anger of the Repugnics by not only turning the tables but doing it without apology. Moore’s film did not politely suggest, it thundered fact after fact. It used its own language. It mimicked the way the R’s presented their lies and was way powerful. Put very simply, the Rs fight continually for political supremacy and never give up. Dems mostly do not - prime example is how Kerry gave up before all the votes were counted and did not pursue the voting fraud in Ohio. Dems usually question whether any fight would be won or worth the time and money expended. They dither, they second guess, and they drop the balls. Repugnics have put a full court press on Doctor Howard Dean. They fear Howard because he is a fighter. They fear Senator Hillary Clinton too because she has a large following and is a super fund raiser. Still, they are positive, claiming that they would be delighted if Hillary or Howard won. Then they bring forth every nasty comment about them they can think of while telling Dems how easily both of them would be defeated at the polls. The idea is to scare the Dem leadership and it is working. Dems need to learn to put forth their programs and plans without using the Bush language. http://www.thenation.com/edcut/index.mhtml?bid=7&pid=2182 “Hillary, Please stop saying 'faith based'.” There are better words for what you are talking about and they should be yours. Otherwise you just reinforce the Repugnics. The opposite of “pro-life” is not “pro-death.” It is “pro-women’s quality of life." Some in the Dem leadership feel threatened by the R's rhetoric and think they can win only if they don’t annoy them. Once the Dem candidates back off when threatened, the R’s go into their state and spend money to defeat them anyway. They take no prisoners and have no conscience. They don’t need one. Meanwhile, too many in the Dem leadership are moaning about how the Party is in dire straits and must be “born again” in the middle of the political spectrum -- this is what Dean calls “Bush lite” and maintains that the Party is strong and getting stronger. This could be a self-fulfilling prophecy if the rest of the Dems would stop energizing defeat and get on the positive and powerful bandwagon of their own instead of side saddling. 2005-007 Copyright 2005 Renee T.
