| One of the duties of Congress is oversight
of the executive branch of our government. Although there have been many
requests by Democratic members, the Republican majority has refused to
conduct investigative hearings.
There is, however, a Justice Department investigation going on concerning the leakage of CIA undercover agent, Valerie Plame. It is headed by Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald who has been interrogating witnesses for two years. Despite the ample proof that a preemptive war in Iraq was planned by the Bushies well before 9/11, the Republican majority in Congress have prevented any investigation into the chicanery that led us into this killing field. It has also prevented investigations into the huge amounts of taxpayer's money lost and unaccounted for in Iraq as well as the inferior and dangerous materials given our troops for protection. These border on criminal as young women and men have died because of a sloppy and uncaring department run by Donald Rumsfeld. There has been tons of evidence of election fraud during the 2004 election process. This has been amassed and presented to the Congress with demands for investigation, but it has been ignored. Medical and scientific research has been changed to make it support this administration's agenda. The atrocities against prisoners by our own agents and troops at Gitmo and Abu Ghraib are well documented but despite demands of the Democrats and public, there has been no Congressional investigation instigated. The DOD has charged and punished low ranking individuals but no one in authority has been punished. This country desperately needs to research alternate sources of energy. We need to mount the same kind of project as was done to get to the moon or to produce the atom bomb. The number crushers have reported that the cost of such an effort to accomplish this would cost about the amount now spent in Iraq in two months. These are just a few of the smelly emissions of the Bush Administration. Certainly the refusal of Congress to mount investigations that they are constitutionally required to do, point to the rotten political influence of The T*rd Blossom. That is George Bush's nickname for Karl Rove. Obviously Bush recognizes the product of t *rd blossoms and approves of the lifetime of dirty tricks perpetrated by Rove up to and including his outing of CIA Operative, Valerie Plame. that the Democrats have urged Congress to begin for several years. That
is, the lies, misinformation and shenanigans by the Bush administration
