I'LL HUFF, PUFF &
BLOW YOUR HOUSE DOWN
We've written several times about how Huffington
uses her blog to express her extreme hatred for Senator Clinton. It appears
more and more certain that the only reason she started her blog was to
defecate on the Senator at every opportunity.
Case in point --
just compare the difference in treatment between avowed Democrat, Huffy,
and proven Repug, Drudge. Just recently, both featured the reception Hillary
got at the DNC.
Drudge reported
the opposition of some in the audience, saying it came from the anti-war
faction, but Huffy blew it up out of all proportion making it sound as
if the entire audience was ready to lynch her.
What has been most
telling about Huffy's constant attack is that no positive comments about
Hillary are seen on her blog. This is not because we and many others do
not send them in; it is because Huffy censors them out.
What concerns
us is that her hatred toward powerful women is mirrored in our society.
We hear reports of violence toward women increasing every day all over
the country.
True, it cannot
be entirely blamed on the fact that a woman is running for the office of
president but it does reflect the increase in media coverage of women in
power.
It also brings attention
to what money can do and how it has bought so-called democrats to gang
up against one candidate. Years ago, "the anyone but Hillary movement",
emerged, powerfully financed by men determined to keep the war policies
of the present administration on-going.
They skillfully
play on the emotions of democrats; paying and urging them to interrupt
her loudly when she speaks. Any woman who has tried to make her voice heard
over this kind of shouting, or even above a loud male in the boardroom,
knows what it is like to try to be heard. One must not stand mute and be
shouted down as it shows weakness.
If you happened
to hear any of the broadcasts of Hillary speaking in Ohio where many women
were present and people were listening and the rabble rousers were absent,
a completely different picture of her emerged.
She was clear and
concise; she was an excellent speaker and she was funny -- she made jokes
on herself. The audience loved her. They didn't form their opinions on
the swill that disgruntled democrats are pouring into the trough for consumption
by the brainless.
An interesting news
item, that purported to link Senator Obama to Muslim teachings when he
was a boy, was covered widely by the media recently.
Along with this
news report was the charge that the rumor was started by Senator Clinton.
Both the Obama story and the Clinton connection were disproved, yet most
media never corrected where the story came from.
Jumping in to
further pummel her is the unjolly green giant, spoiler-in-chief of Democratic
hopes, Ralph Nader. But go on and think
Nader's cool because of his genitalia -- he's already proven how he can
snatch defeat for Democratic candidates out of the jaws of victory.
He'll give joy and
comfort to the Democratic Hillary haters but won't even ruffle a feather
in the Hillary camp - they've faced plenty of mean, nasty men and their
mean nasty comments many a time in the past.
Whether they are
Republicans (that one would expect to shovel crap on a Democratic candidate)
or Democrat/Progressives who are out-shoveling and out-crapping the Repugs
on Hillary, our bet is that she can take it and if nothing else, that deserves
giving her a fair hearing and our support.
